January seemed to last for three months and now we are somehow half way through February?! Maybe it’s just me. I’ve been fixated on going through my edits for The Last Lunar Witch. The feedback from my editor was exactly what I needed, having an extra pair of eyes to see what I am too close to notice.
Some of them were facepalm moments (how did I never talk about giving food, water, or shelter to Danika!? Others were great tweaks to make things flow better. I’m super excited to see what you all think, which is why I’ve spent the last three days slogging through ProWriting Aid.

The Kaelan chibis arrived to keep Nyssa company and now they sit by my keyboard and encourage me to keep going. I’m planning on sending these out to some random subscribers of this newsletter in the future. Also if you sign up to be part of the Typo Hunter team for The Last Lunar Witch, there will be extra raffles along with some other cute fantasy stickers that are on the way.
What is the Typo Hunter Team? These are readers who are great at spotting typos, grammar issues, missing punctuation etc. No matter how hard or how many times we look over something, there will always be mistakes that slip through, which is why readers willing to look out of these are appreciated so much by authors. If you’d like to join the team or just want to sign up for an ARC copy, you can fill out this form.

I’ve been dealing with the joy of having my Tiktok account perma banned because who knows. Working hard to engage with people on there, making connections, and creating content is a lot of work all for it to go up in smoke. But I’ve complained enough to my author friends already. But it does go to show that outside on an author’s newsletter we cannot control anything. Having all of you on my newsletter is so important and this ban reminded me of that.
To have direct access to people who actually want to hear about my books and I is vital for an author. So thank you for being here <3 To know there is support and encouragement, that I’m not just yelling into the void that is the internet, that I can still reach my readers even if all social media crashed and burned.

Thanks for being here, for being an amazing reader, and for just being you!
