I’m unfortunately still waiting for my line edits which were due last week. But that is life and I am hoping to see them today from my editor. I wanted to have the ARC’s out already but what can you do?
In book 2 news, I had my first draft of the cover from my designer! It needs some changes but I really love the feel and think it links with book 1 well. I also bet with a book coach to go over book 2’s outline and she had some wonderful feedback. As excited to get back into the series, I am actually working on my prequel (which has been sitting there for MONTHS!) I think I have two more scenes until it is finished! Though that is wishful thinking as one of those scenes is the big climax and they always tend to run away from me.
You almost might notice the title and cover change on your device! I updated Witch of the Lunar Order to The Last Lunar Witch early for a few reasons. One was I wanted to make sure the changes went through! Amazon can be finicky and I didn’t need that extra stress. I also have been signing up for several promotions and author spotlights and wanted to make sure no one got the wrong cover/title!
Did you enjoy the eclipse?
Not me, I’m on the west coast of the US and it was cloudy. I did get to see a full solar eclipse back in 2004 in Australia, though we had to travel for hours into the middle of the desert to see it.
My lovely friend and fellow author Laura Huie took this photo for me:
I also got into a fun discussion about werewolves during an eclipse. One reason I'm not a fan of old school werewolves is that why would the moon cause them to change, it’s just a reflection of the sun’s light. And why is a full moon different? The moon is always there it’s just how much the earth is blocking the light. Unless the moon is made of something and the light reflecting off that is what changes people into werewolves, therefore a full moon would be a stronger hit of all these.
What do you mean there is fault in urban legends?!
I do love learning and discussing things to do with these celestial bodies. So how does this logic hold up in The Lunar Order Chronicles?
The joys of fantasy! Both the sun and moon are literal manifestations of the two goddesses. So what would happen during a solar or lunar eclipse? Well it will affect their powers… but I am not going to tell you how!
I do plan to have one solar eclipse and one lunar eclipse during this series but they won’t be turning up until a bit later in the series when the stakes are higher.
What do you think will happen during an eclipse?

I Bring the Fire Part I: Wolves is the first book in the series and is free on all platforms!
If you like Loki, norse mythology, romance, all in a modern setting then you might enjoy this series.
Amy Lewis is on her way to her grandma’s house. She's being chased by a very bad wolf.
Galaxies away Loki, Norse God of Mischief and Chaos, is waking up in a prison cell, strangely without a hangover, and with no idea what he’s done wrong—this time anyway. He does know Thor is hiding something, Odin is up to something wicked, and there seems to be something he’s forgotten...
Amy's and Loki's fates are about to collide. They'll have to work together to defeat gods, elves, magic sniffing cats, and nosy neighbors. If Loki can remember what he’s forgotten, and Amy can convince him not to be too distracted by Earthly gadgets, Earthly pleasures, or three day benders, they just might pull it off...
Best yet, this is a complete series, so no need to wait for the next book to come out.
